The World Rescue 2019

Designers: Wong Chung Hang, Leung Chun Fai

Illustrator: Leung Chun Fai

Design Concept: The game depicts the worst-case scenario of global warming. The ultimate goal is to guide the game pieces to the mountain refuge before all the icebergs melt. It's November already, and the Northern Hemisphere should be well into winter, but we're still wearing summer clothes. This has the kids a little worried - they're afraid winter won't come, and if it doesn't, their beloved Santa Claus won't show up in December. Mom and Dad try to explain that this is a phenomenon called "global warming", but the kids only seem to half-understand, leaving Mom and Dad feeling anxious. That's why the designer created this "The World Rescue" board game, allowing children to experience firsthand the dire consequences of "global warming". In this 20-minute game, players place ice cubes at the North and South Poles on the game board. The children must work together to relocate humanity to higher ground before the icebergs at the poles completely melt. On each turn, players can move either the same piece or different pieces to guide them to the final refuge. Although, the game cannot stop "global warming", we hope to use this opportunity to raise awareness and encourage everyone to discuss how we can be more environmentally friendly and protect the Earth!

The Legend of Cheung Po Tsai 2 2016

Designer: Wong Chung Hang

Illustrator: Man Pak Hang

Design Concept: Cheung Po Tsai was a notorious pirate along the coast of Guangdong, China, in the early 19th century and is a well-known figure in Hong Kong history. Legend has it that after Cheung Po Tsai's death, his treasure map resurfaced. Drawn by the promise of this vast fortune, Qing soldiers, pirates, fishermen, and Portuguese all flocked to the area, using their ships to sail around Cheung Chau. In the game, players take on the roles of Qing soldiers, pirates, fishermen, or Portuguese. The first player to have their fleet sail around Cheung Chau for one full day wins the map to Cheung Po Tsai's treasure and is declared the winner.
